On my old phone and I had the toggle clicked to back up my work and nothing was backed up when I got a new phone. I have to start all.over again. Not happy.

To ensure your progress safety, you need to take the following steps on both devices: 1) enable the 'Backup my works' option in the Settings of the app; 2) link it to your Play Games account.
