Like others, I was attracted to this app for the simplicity. The last several updates have gradually chipped away at that. While I could opt out of the social features, it appears there's no way to get back to the simple app that I loved using. I don't want a quote when I start the app. I don't want to be thanked by random people. | Audible, Inc. | (This review has been deleted) It's 2021 and Audible still doesn't let you opt-out of promotional notifications without turning off playback notifications. Also it's losing my place in books and making me start over from the beginning. Android System Webview and Chrome are both up to date. So while I appreciate the response from Audible, those are not the culprit for the problems. The notification problem is a product choice that Audible/Amazon have chosen to not fix. The new version of the app is bad. The reorganizing of the menu so you have to carefully scroll to the side to see each dish is just awful. I also ran into multiple times when the app got hung up on new fancy loading animations forcing me manually restart the app. | 01/11/2018 | |
