This is what Waze should have been by now. My only complaint is there doesn't seem to be a way to mute spoken navigation guidance, but this is a relatively minor gripe considering how good the rest of the app is.

The new interface is AWFUL. If you insist on trying to glom onto a trendy thing and turn the primary interface into a RSI-inducing TikTok clone, at least give us the ability to mute the audio so we can get to the stream we want in peace.

Gave Waze a shot again after a couple years away to see if it had improved since last time; it stopped updating my location multiple times during the very first drive that I used it, so i guess that answers my question. Uninstalling.

Far too many ads inside the app and far too many trackers baked into it. No thanks.

The content is top-notch, but the app is absolutely riddled with trackers, including one for Facebook Ads, which I refuse to engage with.

Notifications still fire completely unreliably, making keeping up with urgent items impossible (yes, I've tried all the workarounds, Googlers). Automatic categorisation fails consistently. There are still no bulk email handling options in the app that are in the same league as Inbox had, which is a crime. The service is a shadow of what it once was. Look to Shortwave if you want a way to actually work in Gmail like it's not 2009.

Browser sync has never worked correctly after a couple years of waiting. Rewards uptake has never happened, so that whole element of being able to pay back creators is basically just another crypto scam at this point. Just use Firefox with uBlock-- it's faster, and doesn't have the crypto stink.

New full screen pop-up ads= instant uninstall. A real shame: this app was pretty great up until now.

The option to mute notifications for addresses has apparently been removed, so I'm getting notifications for tons of random stuff that I do not need to act on now. Not a good trend.

Ad banners now slowly slide up and cover the whole screen. Awful.

Most of the recent work on this app seems to have gone into changing the font and cramming more massive ads into the interface. Google Fit integration has been broken for a month or so, so calorie counts are now a mess. I can't remember the last time I actually got one of the reminders I have set. Why would I ever pay a monthly sub for this?!?! Actively looking for alternatives after using this for years.

It does all the stuff that Google used to be good at. It even has notifications, which the default Gmail app can't even get right any more!

So are Gmail notifications just broken forever? Seriously: how do you let this happen for this long on one of your core products?

Tends to chew through a lot of watch battery if you are traveling as it updates conditions. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we will ever be getting those other weather sources back, since this app hasn't been updated in several years.

Core app functionality is fine when running standalone on mobile, but too many options are lost when running on Android Auto. Why can't I change route settings or view my turn-by-turn directions from that interface?

Cast functionality no longer works, and the app now includes push notifications that cannot be turned off. Not good.

It's clean, clear, concise, and features the ability to remove ads, which is everything I want in a weather app. Please fix the precipitation alerts, though--they haven't worked properly for a while now.

Most basic stuff send to be working relatively well, but reminders are getting wonky again: location-based reminders are failing to fire, and time-based reminders are firing at weird times. Not acceptable.

Lets me listen to local stations on my phone with no obtrusive ads, tracking, or subscriptions. Perfect.

The core functionality is fine, but I'm still getting ad notifications from this app even after turning off notifications within the app settings and blocking notifications from the app at the OS level on my phone and watch. Also had to block it from using location data to stop it from hammering my location services. Bleagh. Uninstalled. Downloader beware.

It's fast. It's light. It's updated frequently. Give me notifications for Twitter as well as Facebook and it'll be a 5-star app.
