Cancel?!

How the heck do I cancel?! I thought this would virus scan for me but instead it’s charging me and not running a scan. Ugh.

Decent App - Could be great with a few small changes

   (This review has been deleted)

I love the meal tracking, calorie and macro tracking - super easy once you get set up. My biggest complaint though is as an extremely active person I do my own macro and calorie calculations. Lifesum’s app though (when you aign up) tries to be helpful and did them for me and they are not correct, and there does not appear to be any easy option to manually edit them. So while the app gives me an accurate calories and macro count, the “goal” total that shows whether I hit my marks or not is always off base. If they added a simple update to allow a manual altering of it this app would go from decent to great.
The other issue is it keeps “changing” my goals for some reason. It keeps changing my day to day calories (what it picked which I ignore anyway, but this could be a problem for some people). Some days I open it and it says 2100 is my goal. Other days 1700. I checked to make sure no food or snacks had been accidentally added to those days, but nope...it just is a bit glitchy.
Last but not least (and again I really do like the app and use it) but the premium features lack any way to actually see what they offer or do. The FAQs and “go premium” advertisement are honestly god awful and tell me nothing useful about premium features. I wanted to know if I could input my own macro counts, for example, and that information is not clear anywhere.
So just a few ideas.
Edit: just figured the calorie discrepancy out and the reason is one I realllllly don’t like. It apparently syncs with other apps and allows you extra calories if it tracked any steps. Not only can this throw off your goals for anyone who is actually using this for performance, weight loss or muscle gain, but it is misleading. Even if someone did like that feature, who honestly holds their phone for step counting? I certainly don’t because Im not attached to my phone at the hip. I exercise and the phone stays at home. So that addition is very inaccurate. I’d highly recommend removing it altogether or at least giving people an option to turn that auto addition of calories off.
I honestly really DO love this app and I do recommend it to people. I just think with a few small tweaks it would be worth premium. Right now it isn’t because I have to calculate my own stuff anyway, but with a few small changes it very easily could be.

Hi there, thank you so much for your valuable feedback. We appreciate it and have sent it to each responsible team for their knowledge. When you set up your Lifesum profile you get your calorie goal based on height, age, weight, sex and daily activity level. Since your calorie goal is then calculated based on those details, when exercising you burn calories that are not calculated in your daily calorie intake - therefore we add the burned exercise calories so that you keep aligned with your original calorie goal.
You can however, exclude exercise calories from your calorie goal.
However, in that case, it's important to pay careful attention to how you feel and make sure that you still have enough energy and drink enough water. We recommend that you track and consume your excersise calories since you otherwise risk having a too low energy intake..
In order turn on/off exclude exercise calories feature, go to your Settings and then scroll down to to Diary Settings. On the bottom of the screen you can turn the option on or off by swiping the button Exclude exercise calories.
Please also feel free to send more detail through https://lifesum.com/deep/settings?page=support regarding the calories changing glitch as you say, we would love to take a closer look at this!
Furthermore, in the premium version you can put in your own individual macro count yes. Please also feel free to send a request through the same link(above) if you wish to test out all of our premium features. We will be happy to upgrade you with a free premium trial. Thank you!

Chipotle Mexican Grill

The Update is Terrible

Previously this was 5 stars and a ridiculously easy app to use. It recently forced an update and ever since it freezes, fails to load, crashes, loses an order mid-submission, and so on and so forth. It makes chipotle more trouble than it’s worth regrettably so until that gets fixed well just take business elsewhere. (This has been a consistent problem across multiple devices for not just my husband and I but our friends as well.) Chipotle itself is great, but their update has made it impossible to order delivery during a pandemic.
Edit: Managed to finally place an order on the update app. I was stuck in a meeting while the presenter was having tech issues so out of sheer morbid curiosity continued to fight with the app while waiting....otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered. It took 23 minutes total to get it to actually submit an order between it freezing and crashing repeatedly.
