In June ‘24 they added a banner of constant and changing ads to the top of the screen that not only covers the controls and the top of the actual Sudoku grid in landscape mode. It is annoying while playing, and unless you hit the top row pinpoint with your finger you’re going to launch an ad instead of highlighting a block. What a shame, a waste of what was once the best Sudoku app in the store. Sigh.

Caution using this software. It screws up the functionality of iOS Books app. If you find you can no longer save PDF files to iOS books, you first must offload the Acrobat Reader app. Oh, and they collect all your personal data. Remember, you’re the product.

Even though both the TV and iPhone are on the same WiFi network, the app insists they are not. The free app that looks like a TV works better.

Works sometimes for a few seconds, then fails to an idiot screen with a play button. These guys need some IT folks.

It's a useful gadget and app. I use the free version for iPad. I'd pay the $20 if they made a system that was a bit more reliable. It works about 80% of the time. Most of the glitches are in the last ten feet, convincing it that it's ok to AirPlay or to go to the Chrome Cast. Other apps use those streamers with near 100% reliability, but Sling is a coin toss and never seems to behave the same way twice, so troubleshooting is not an option. If you want to watch on the iPad, ok. If not, Good luck.

Good game, I wish I could customize the colors of the pieces and maybe board to provide more contrast. I get mixed up in the end game with the shiny bronze and pewter colors...the seem too close, at least for me.
