Winter Glow

During Winter Glow, Bruges takes on an air of enchantment with thirteen impressive installations. With "word" as its theme, the light trail aims to create connections through a dialogue of light and language. Both artists and visitors will enhance the installations with their words.

The app will guide you along the way as you visit thirteen "real-life" installations and one virtual experience, made visible with augmented reality (AR).To see the new reality, just point your smartphone at the tower of the Church of Our Lady. The app will also allow you to listen to music and wordsmithery as you follow the light art trail. Alongside these new elements, the app remains the ideal way to enjoy the light experience walk to the full, explaining the installations and providing visitors with information about each site.

There is a set direction to follow the light trail and visitors are required to mask up and socially distance. There is no fixed start or finish point, you can start anywhere. Light elements will show you the way to the next installation. The Winter Glow trail is 3.2km long.
