I just switched over from Spotify because Tidal pays more to the artists and has better sound quality, which is great! My biggest gripe is that it won’t let me upload custom pictures for my playlists and profile!! Otherwise is a great service.

Where is the bass

I really want to be a tidal user, but with how terrible the search algorithm is, it makes it very difficult to be. If you don’t type in EXACTLY what you’re looking for you can’t find it. Spotify knows what I’m looking for when I barely type in English. Super frustrating when looking for artists that are new to you.

The search engine is still bad. Biggest issue now is the downloaded songs don’t play even though they are downloaded. I work in a faraday cage with sub-par wifi, so downloaded is the only option. Also, the album artwork should download with the downloaded items.

I was convinced by friends to go to Tidal instead of Spotify but I almost want to go back. It’s hard to find new music by smaller artists on Tidal. I’m also an iPhone user and Tidal uses a bunch of my available storage and memory storing “videos” of every song I stream, every time I stream it. I love the personalized playlists provided by Spotify but the Tidal ones don’t feel as creative or personal, it’s just records of what I listened to that month with no creative presentation. Tidal also glitches all of the time. I understand that it’s new, but when I open the app back up again, I expect it to know where I left off in my listening.

This is a feature I rely on heavily. But it’s no longer on the app and it’s been like this for a while. I’ve searched all over, and can’t find where this information is located. I love opening up the app on Thursdays and seeing who’s dropping on Friday. If this feature is still there, it’s hidden well. It should be an automatic pop up on the home page. Please adjust . . . and soon. I’ll update my review after the issue is resolved.

I thought we fixed this, there are stream and connect ability issues causing and reinstall

Two things that need work: First, improve the voice search integration within CarPlay; this is the only app where my voice search results for either artist or title using siri are wrong nearly every time. Not sure if the problem is with your end or apple, but it is very irritating. Second, make the button for offline/download only listening easier to find- shouldn't be a sub-menu of a profile setting.

I’m really not a huge fan of how the app creates Partial Downloads of video files that start piling up gigabytes of garbage. They are difficult to remove without uninstalling and reinstalling the app periodically to clear that unwanted data. Idk why you are constantly flooding my phones storage and creating this unnecessary hassle to clear it. Otherwise, the app is pretty good.
