Please update the app! There’s no way I haven’t been able to connect to my lights ever since the update. It says I “need to update to the latest version of the app” to use my lights…how ridiculous is that!!!

The app is cumbersome and cluttered. Would be great to have a more intuitive layout and less early 2000s-looking aesthetics. If Philips weren’t so overpriced I’d go with

This new update is terrible, fix it please, or put it back how it was.

Group on/off functions are 50% gamble for me now if they work or not. Disappointed!!!!!!

The app is going in the right direction but needs wrk

The interface works. Thats about the only good thing its got going. Randomly the app will take 5-10 minutes and a couple times closing and reopening to finally connect to the lights while sitting right next to them. When you finally connect you’re good right? Not necessarily you have to navigate your way thru an unnecessarily complicated set of menus to pick a desired color. You could also scroll thru their pages of effects that never really match the name or give you an idea of what the effect will actually be. What type of effect will “energetic” be or better yet “crossing” or “science fiction” the list goes on… Ultimately it is a decent app because it does work. However can be improved upon and simplified dramatically.

I haven’t used this app for a while, and Queen I opened it I can not find any of the stuff, getting constant network errors in parts of the app but not others, and just generally it is a hot mess.

Ever since the new update (Dated 5 days before this review) the ability to get a reliable temperature from the temp device is a massive hassle. Refresh our Bluetooth, our phones, change out the device’s battery, uninstall/reinstall the Govee app, nothing works. If you want a temperature device be prepared to sit in the app and waste a good 15-20 minutes trying to get a good reading on the temperature. Utter garbage now.

By far a superior product

It was a great product, but lately the app says loading… half the time when trying to download data from the thermometers. This is useless. It seems the connection is not reliable. This is on a new iPhone with the latest iOS software. There is no excuse for inadequate testing. I really wish they would fix the app.
