Items badly packaged. Authentication questionable.

I’ve bought some beautiful jewelry items from some very nice sellers only for the items to arrive “wrapped” in a single sheet of coarse, crumpled paper (like a paper grocery bag) and thrown into a shipping box. That is the extent of the protection and care shown to vintage, rare, and delicate items. At first it seemed like some tragic mistake but it’s happened with three items in a row now. Ridiculous.
Additionally, the authentication process needs to be more transparent. In item listings, physical authentication is optional and $15. I’ve purchased items at various price points and the $25 authentication fee is tacked on regardless. It’s confusing. It’s especially confusing given that the authentication process I rather questionable. Necklaces have arrived with signed pendants but unsigned chains. Just… not a great feeling.

Horrible Customer Service

So i purchased polo shirt & was suppose to receive it today July 3rd 2024. Well i have not received any item yet due to “incorrect address” which is not true because i always receive my items to this address. So i contact “customer service chat with us” & they are literally doing NOTHING TO HELP ME. I cannot stress how inconvenient this app is due to there customer service NOT helping whatsoever. Lets hope i receive my item soon….

No payment received for bag sent

Do not use this app. This app appeared to be doing its job until I was to be paid. At that point, I was asked to update payout information which I could not do on my iPhone 12 iOS 17.. customer service seems only to be handled by AI and I received different answers from customer service representatives and as of this date payment has not been made for a bag I have already sent. I had been reassured several times through email and text that they are working most expediently on the issue however I am still waiting for 877 USD to be deposited to my account which should’ve been deposited two weeks ago. I do not recommend using this app for anything.

Garbage Search Functions

Not allowing me to search for my exact shoe size & forcing me to sort through sizes that are “near my size” is extremely annoying.
My exact shoe size is my exact shoe size, if it isn’t exactly that size it WILL NOT fit me so let me search for exactly what I know I need ! Makes it such a pain to search for shoes on this app.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. They're so rude and so unhelpful. I asked simple question about the fee breakdown. All the guy did was send me a link and be patronizing, instead of actually answering my question. Be careful here

They are thieves!

DO NOT work with this company. I sent them a brand new Louis Vuitton that they told me sold. The customer was excited to receive it. I packed it carefully and took photos of it before I sent it to the company. They sent me back a message very quickly saying they looked at the bag and it is damaged. I knew this was wrong because I know what I sent them. A bag in perfectly excellent condition. They said they would send it back to me. The bag that showed up was disgusting. It was rusted and sticky and definitely not my bag. I have been back and forth with them and they keep lying and saying they sent me back my item. I want to scream!! They are awful. Don’t do business with them!!

Not buyer friendly

I created an account on this app to be able to purchase items rather than to sell. I was unable to view all inventory without getting the app and creating an account. Immediately after, I received an email saying my account was not approved due to suspicious activity. I got on the chat feature with customer service and the rep couldn’t tell me what the issue was.
I hadn’t even performed any “activity” other than looking through inventory and saving items I liked so that I could find them again when I was ready to decide what I wanted to purchase.
I have never had this happen and it makes no sense. What makes even less sense is that I can’t even get an explanation as to the reason for the rejection for a buyer account. I guess they don’t need more customers.

Worst Selling App

Let me tell you, as a reseller, this app is the worst.
First, I’m not sure if Vestiaire uses AI or any other programming to “check” and verify your listing before it’s available to buyers, but it’s terrible. Sometimes, it incorrectly flags products as counterfeit and prevents them from being listed, even though all my products are guaranteed authentic with clear hallmarks. There are many of my items that cannot be listed, which makes me stop using this app to sell.
Second, the make offer function is ridiculous! Vestiaire should adjust this function to charge the buyer immediately when the seller accepts the offer, rather than giving the buyer 24 hours to decide if they want to purchase the item. It doesn’t make sense to make an offer and then reconsider. Making an offer should mean committing to buy the item. Let’s make buyers responsible for their actions.
I’ve had many buyers make offers just for fun, which wastes my time.
Contacting customer service is a joke. They respond like programmed robots (or copy/ paste answer), saying the feedback is well received and will be passed to their team. However, after providing feedback about the same issue multiple times, nothing changes. 😂
