The keyboard has been very slow recently & I hope it will be fixed soon. However, I have not had this issue before, and I love everything else about the app and company. I feel safe while using Ecosia, as well as good about it!

I’ve used Ecosia for YEARS, ever since I heard about it. I have never had any issues with it at all, but lately it seems to be lagging? It might just be me, but whenever I am typing it lags tremendously. I checked for any updates and no dice. It is only Ecosia that lags on my phone as well, I was just hoping someone might have any ideas on how to fix this on my part? Or if it’s just the app? Again, I have never had this issue until recently. Please help!

I love Ecosia’s concept as a search engine, but when I try to search something, the searches are always irrelevant. I have to look through all the pages just to never find what I’m looking for.
I don’t know if it’s an SEO problem or what, but it makes navigating the app much harder.

ecosia is great, i have used it for a while as a google replacement. the search results tend to be more helpful than duckduckgo, and i like the feature of giving the leaf icon to more environmentally friendly sites. one thing that really bothers me is the fact that it introduced the AI chat feature….. if the whole mission of this service is to plant trees and protect the environment, why was this introduced. i get that it can give you “environmentally friendly tips” or whatever, but on average, a chatGPT prompt pollutes 4.32 grams of CO2 which doesn’t sound like a lot, but it adds up with every message sent. seems very counter productive.

I don’t know if it’s my phone or not but if it’s not please fix cause it gets kinda annoying. Otherwise I love everything y’all do. Keep it up!!

Some web sites won’t even open that work on other browsers. Horrible performance.

Hate how pages randomly refresh

I’m so happy that companies like you all are taking it seriously in helping our planet.

For whatever reason, whenever I try to search now after the update my typing is so incredibly slow ecosia is unusable. I don’t run into this issue with safari. I used to love ecosia and have been using it for years but I simply can’t functionally use it anymore.

First of all, I love the browser. Let me just say that. I get answers easily enough without google’s “quick answer” stuff, and I’m planting trees. Feels great.
However, recently they took away the “personal impact” counter. And it made me kind of upset. I liked seeing my counter go up. It partially encouraged me to search up questions on this browser instead of others, just so I could see my tree number go up.
If this was reinstated, I would happily go back to using this browser for my every need. But as of right now, if my question isn’t that important, I don’t really feel the need to search it up.
