I got the iXpand flashdrive luxe with duel lightening and type c support. At first the type c didn’t work with the app on my iPhone 15. I contacted customer support and was told as follows and it fixed it:
Support said that the drive needed a firmware update. I was instructed to take the device and plug it into an old iPhone that has a lightening port. Once inserted in the old phone, open the app and the firmware update is automatically installed. Once the update is installed in the drive, it will work on the new type c iPhones!

I was using a Sandisk drive to make space on my iPhone 12 worked really good no problem I bought a new phone the 15 pro max so i bought the sandisk drive with the usb-c connection well it does not work my phone reads that is connected but the app don’t recognize it. It doesn’t work

There’s something wrong with my ixpand flash drive. My iphone11 won’t recognize it.
The nib seems to be defective and will not connect. Is this a product flaw? Please help.

I bought this to backup photos on my wife’s iPhone 15pro max. This software won’t even locate the drive even though iOS does.

When it works it is good but you can be in the middle of downloading pictures and it freezes or closes out. I have been trying to get pictures off of my phone for an upcoming trip and it just says system failed, try again later. Have been trying later and still won’t work.

The tab in the file manager is next to useless as you can’t use it to copy files. The app limits which directories you can use. The app also constantly crashes or spams notifications. Files do not show up where they should. You can’t choose how you want to open files. It assumes you want to put everything in your photos which is incorrect and causes iCloud bloat. The list goes on and on

Why won’t this flash drive work with this app?

This drive has worked perfectly for me for a couple years now, am very happy with it. But the last IOS update 17.5 seems to have broken it. My phone suddenly doesn’t recognize the drive at all.
UPDATE July 8 We’ve given devs time to fix whatever has gone wrong but nothing has happened. People rely on the information on the drive being available when they need it, especially for those of us that use it for work. Please devs, fix this. Thank you.

App and device are never recognized on iPad Pro 5th gen running iOS 17.5.1. Stupid little animation “to plug in drive” just keeps looping over and over.
Save your money- skip the hype- find something- anything else but this if you have an iPad Pro running iOS 17.5.1
Both USB C or lightning fail to be recognized by SanDisk APP when plugged into multiple devices.
No good, faulty, not user friendly- and a complete waste of my money.
Find something else.
