Scanning Books in Mind is a free app with an option to tip if you choose. --Scan-- Run Sbim and pan the camera smoothly over the book covers and Sbim will alert when it recognises text from your Keywords list.   The Keywords list contains words or phrases identifying your favourite authors or book titles. Sbim can also be used to search newspapers, book pages or signs. --Keywords-- Keywords are added and edited on the Keywords screen.   A unique subsection of an author or title works best. --Recordings-- All recognised text is saved in a Transcript. You can review and filter this text. The Transcript is stored with date and location information. Snapshots are captured by single tapping on the Scan screen. They capture the current screen image as well as a Transcript. The image can be rescanned. The Transcripts can be filtered to show unique entries and those containing Keywords. Search all or individual Recordings. You can set limits on how many to store. --Settings-- Context sensitive settings and help are accessed by pressing the Settings button from each tab. --Notes-- Sbim uses your iPhone’s camera for text recognition. For best results, iPhone X or later is recommended. On the Keywords screen click the $ to share an optional gratuity.
