This app is a great tool for updating Garmin chartplotters. It also is great at planning when not sitting in your boat.
There is some delay and lag in getting the app to recognize the equipment (typically two attempts needed) but once connected, everything works fine. I doubt if this is a problem with the gear and more the Bluetooth/wifi connection between units.
Also, Garmin support is outstanding as I have used them for an unrelated but ongoing problem with a piece of equipment that has been glitchy since purchase. The team is professional, courteous and accurate.

Good app. Could use more customization settings for the map. I can’t quite get it to look the way I prefer. The biggest thing making this a 3 star review is that I cannot use the app with my phone horizontal. When I am on my boat I have my garmin up front and my phone is on the console. My phone can go out of the way and easily observable sideways but the app does not adjust. The app stays in vertical portrait mode making it hard to work with.

Great app and user friendly

I’ve only been able to successfully update my chart, potters ones over the last 23 months of owning my boat. I’ve tried calling customer service, which is impossible. I have watched and done all the steps from all the videos online. Once you go into update it just keeps running and nothing happens…. Left it running overnight 3 times. Had simrad on other boats with out a problem

Cannot get Echomaps to pair with iPad. Just a complicated system & not user friendly,

Love this app it’s easy to use and works great with my 1243xsv chartplotters .adds another variable to life on the water.

System has not worked with chart plotters since day one. Support, dealer no one helps! Very frustrating!!! Bb

Neither of my 2 brand new Garmin 94s will show maps, spent $3000 on the purchase and install. 4 hours trying to download the app and make it run. Neither new unit displays a map. So I’ve spent my vacation Navi g with a paper map and a phone.
Should’ve bought any other brand of nav system

This is so stupid the way they have this set up.
